Dayonic

Yesterday, FunnyImageDump received 554,643 hits in one day. This huge demand cased some server problems and the site was switched off for a few hours.

This was caused by 20,000 people hotlinking images to shared the laughter.

I’ve now turned on hotlink protection, to save the server some stress, I will turn it off in a few days, after writing some smart code to solve the server stress problems.

Enough of this half-million hit madness, THIS IS SPARTA!

I thought i’d write a post about my site Games Modding now, while i don’t have many viewers.
Get it out of the way, as nothing much ever happens there. It’s a good rock, standing the test of time, my oldest site, providing a service for game modders.

I do like having a PR 5 site, any site GM links to almost instantly goes up to PR 4 after about a month. A handy head start.

ArtFoe is a art competitions website i just made.

There will be about 3 competitions a week. Each with a normal prize of around £5.
While i find bugs in the site over the next few days, the prizes are £1, but the competitions are simple.

Today i moved my old site Dayox to a new domain: FunnyImageDump.com
People now know what the site is about by the name .. makes sense ._.
